So please have a browse as we have often found that these guides not only help as an introduction to interactive voting technology but also can trigger some great ideas!

NEW! Touch Card Technology (RFID)

How would you like to identify your delegates via a quick swipe of a card over a handset?

No need to slot the card in and remember to take it out afterwards, this uses the same technology as Transport for London's Oyster Card, allowing quick and easy access to a Messenger handset.

The use of these with our audience response systems increases the power and potential of your events, opening up whole new ways to interact with your audiences.

From Silent Auctions to Shareholder AGMs, there is now an instant and flexible way to ensure correct and secure usage of the handset.

PowerQ

As a plug-in program for Microsoft PowerPoint, questions can be altered easily and added live if required. Results can also be exported live to Microsoft Excel, should more complex analyses be required.

To find out what it can do for your event, please take a look at the other pages in this section. If you have an idea for your event that you’d like to discuss, please get in touch with us.

Assessment Module

This is the ideal tool to examine candidates using a multiple choice paper, but a handset is used instead of a pen.

Candidates just use the LCD on their handset to work their way around.Assessment Module in progress People can answer simple multiple choice questions, select pictures, or answer mathematical or currency questions.

  • Candidates work at their own pace
  • They can answer questions in any order
  • They can edit their answers if they change their mind

Once the time allocated is over, the handsets will not allow further responses. All data is downloaded for marking and grading. The Module is quick to set up, data is secure (it can be password encrypted) and marking for 100 Students would only take about 30 seconds.

Research Module

The Research Module allows you to survey a large number of people over a short period of time. Like the Assessment Module, the handsets do not have to stay within range of the base station. So, you could go out into the street and survey passers-by. People can either be asked questions - or they can read them - and their responses are entered into the handset by pressing the appropriate numbered key or keys. Once again, there's no manual marking to be done and the handset's LCD is used to navigate around the questions.

Questions can be answered in any order and answers can be changed if someone changes their mind. Also, each response can be weighted or qualified according to your requirements.

Once the responses have been collected, they can be downloaded immediately, as long as you are back in range of the base station. The system sends the data automatically to a spreadsheet so continuous analysis can take place.

Opinion Monitor

The Opinion Monitor was created to see how an audience reacts to a presentation in real time. It can be of great interest to monitor audience responses while a presentation is actually going on.

Each member of the audience is given a handset. Then they are asked to vote on an opening question, usually some sort of demographic (age, gender, department etc), in order to see how the audience breaks down into different groups. Once the audience has identified themselves with a particular group in this way, they use the handsets as the presentation progresses to express any change in their opinion.

A live line graph is generated, with each group shown in a different colour, to demonstrate how people are reacting. Voting is constant and people can press a key at any time to express a change in opinion.

iDEAS

Many clients employ interactive voting systems for a specific use during their meetings, conferences and seminars. However, they are often unaware of how the same audience response technology could enhance other aspects of their event, and most of the time, at no extra cost!

From simple feedback forms to team-building exercises to role-playing workshops, our keypads and handsets can make potentially complex processes simple, thus enlivening and enriching events, and of course ensuring our clients obtain real value for money.

We have developed applications and exercises that we are happy to share to ensure you can get the most out of your events. We call these iDEAS, and if you are interested in taking your meetings to the next level with a fully integrated audience response system and some great ideas, please feel free to get in touch!
