Learning Roadshow

A major pharmaceutical company has been using our systems for many years providing interactive workshops for GPs all over the country. Renowned experts and Opinion Leaders in the relevant fields are invited to present several case studies during which different aspects of each case are discussed. A typical case study might contain the following:

  • Patient presentation
  • Question on initial diagnosis possibilities
  • Question on which test or tests to carry out
  • Results of tests
  • Question to confirm diagnosis
  • Question on available options for the treatment of the patient
  • Discussion

Lively debate is always produced and participants’ feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Post-event analysis of the results has given the pharmaceutical company an insight into trends and issues facing doctors in their day-to-day treatment of common conditions.

Live Operations

The rapid response of the technology, coupled with the flexibility of the software, allows ad-hoc questions to be asked during an event. This has allowed us to be part of live operations where questions are created ‘on the fly’ as the procedure progresses. Audience responses are sent back to the operating theatre where the experts can comment accordingly. This leads to the audience feeling more involved, maximising the learning experience, whilst patient care is not jeopardised in any way.

Custom Results

The agricultural branch of a pharmaceutical company consulted us as they were in the process of rolling out a spreadsheet application to their field representatives. The spreadsheet consisted of a series of questions to be put to farm managers, and the results, when combined with complex weighted algorithms, classified the farm into one of several categories. To demonstrate this application to their field representatives, they wanted to use our handsets to ask the questions to all of them at the same time, incorporate the individual results into their specialist algorithms and then process the information back to the audience.

They were amazed to hear that not only could we do this, but also that the results would be available instantly to the audience!
