aboutus

curious about our culture?

We are first and foremost a creative company. We love to take ideas and bounce them around. Because interactions between people can lead to real revelations. And the best innovations often come from the most unexpected places.

That’s why we believe it’s so important to be inclusive with your audiences and allow everyone the same opportunities to interact and participate. Over the last 35 years we’ve seen many light-bulb moments where the unexpected has allowed a view or opinion to open the way to positive change.

That’s why we believe in inclusive event technology.

And that’s why we are groupdynamics.

When groupdynamics began back in the early 1980’s, conferences were just people talking at audiences. This was a completely passive experience for the audience members; they were required to sit quietly and absorb the words of wisdom. At the end, polite applause was expected and maybe, if they were lucky, they would be allowed to ask a question or two.

We pioneered the use of Electronic Voting that gave audiences the opportunity to take an active role in meetings.

Questions and options were displayed and audiences then pressed the corresponding button on a device to express their opinion. A graph then appeared showing how the audience responded.

Used correctly, this allowed speakers to shape the flow and content of the meeting according to the needs and requirements of their audience.

Interactive participation in this fashion encouraged better attention levels, and also better retention of key information.

Being a part of this dynamic change to meetings was really refreshing. Supplying technology to a multitude of events all around the world meant we learned a lot about how audiences wanted to interact and as a result we continually added new features to our audience interaction solutions.

Things have moved on considerably from the days of Atari computers (yes, we used them in the early days!) and cabled voting systems. The explosion of smart phone and tablet technology, and the constant presence of social media, has meant audiences now expect, nay demand, to be consulted, engaged and actively participate, before, during and after the meetings they attend.

Our role in all this is to supply the right technologies to facilitate these communications. Not intrusively, not complicating already complicated events, and not to the detriment of the meeting objectives. Our job is to be as transparent as possible, because there is one fundamental aspect that can, and will, never change…

Meetings are not about technology.
Meetings are about people
